Google Android is a operating system for mobile telephones, this was originally developed by Android Inc. but was taken over by Google in 2005. The kernel of the Android operating system is Linux based. There is also a large applications community for Android with in the region of 200,000 applications available.

The Android operating system makes use of files which use the file extension .trashes these are files hidden from the user that contain information and store deleted files. Trashes files can also be found in Apples Mac OS X.
