FlashGet is a download manager that supports various protocols as  well as supporting Multi-server Hyper-threading which means that a file is downloaded from various servers to improve the download speed. The program is also able to resume stopped or paused downloads and does this by using temporary files which have the .fb! file extension, once the download is completed the file is renamed to its correct extension.
