ZSoft Corperation was a software company that developed the PC Paintbrush software which uses the .pcx file extension. The program was later adapted to work under Windows 3.1 and became a part of the operating system and was known as Publishers Paintbrush and supported importing of images through the use of the twain driver as well as 24bit colour and the ability to open more than one file at a time. Added to the software were also tools to retouch the images as well as the use of various effects, eventually the program was superseded by the software PhotFinish.
