Description

Multimedia presentations use a file called a Smil file which contains the information needed for the presentation and use the extension .smil

A smil file is made up of the following components.

  » Timeline

  » Source

SMil means Synchronized Multimedia Intergration Language, this is based on xml and uses tags which are case sensitive.

Smil files start and end with the following tags

<smil> </smil>

The file needs to have a body tag.

<body> </body>

The header part of the file contains information regarding page layout and meta information.
