Text files that have the .tsv file extension are files that contain data that use the following format.

  » Files consist of lines

  » Each line contains fields separated by TAB characters

  » In the field are characters excluding TAB characters

  » The same number of fields must be used in each line

  » In the first line is the name for the fields
