Steam is a digital distribution software that is used to download and add feature such as chat to games over the internet, when a user logs in to his account he is asked to enter his username and password, these are then saved in a file that is used when the user will login to his account in future and saves them from having to enter this data ,  they are then saved to a file that has the .blob file extension.
