Bin is the file format used to describe image files of CD and DVDs that come as a Cue and Bin file, the cue files describes the tracks and other properties, the bin file is a raw dump of the sectors on the disc.

When trying to burn a CUE/BIN image file using a CD/DVD burning software the .CUE file should be selected and not the .BIN file.
